How and Why......
On Sunday afternoon, I leave for a 3-day conference in Chicago and then travel on to Minnesota to visit my sister and brother-in-law and my three nephews who just moved there 4 months ago. I cannot wait to see them all as I miss them more than I thought I would before they left. When I'm around my nephews, I often hear many how and why questions. I guess that's just the development of young minds.
However, over the past few days, I've found myself asking several how and why questions too. One of my anticipations of getting to heaven is having the opportunity to ask God my share of how and why questions. Here are some of the questions I've pondered lately -- some serious, others definitley not!
How:
-- How do airplanes stay in the air?
-- How did I ever live without the internet?
-- How come the Rangers can never have both good starting and relief pitching in the same year?
-- How come we cannot find a cure for cancer?
-- How come we cannot find a cure for alzheimers?
-- How does President Bush keep his cool in the midst of all the terrorist bombings?
-- How does corn pop into popcorn?
-- How will my fantasy football team do this year?
Why:
-- Why don't I save more money?
-- Why do I have a love/hate relationship with golf?
-- Why does my grandmother have to have alzheimers?
-- Why does my grandfather have to have 4 broken vertebrae in his back?
-- Why don't I tell my wife I love her more than I already do?
-- Why do I BLOG when I'm the only person that really reads my BLOG?
-- Why does my house stay constantly dirty even though it's only me and Shawna?
-- Why does a 50+ year old wife/mother have to be diagnosed with dementia?
-- Why does a young single mother have a husband that leaves her and then finds out she has cancer?
-- Why did Jesus die for me?

You aren't the only one who reads your blog...you are just the only one that will admit it.
I have a lot of room to talk though. I am not sure anyone reads mine either. Especially Shanks...
Mmm... good questions.
(I read your blog, too.)
Join the club of those who do not have widely read blogs! But, that's the way I like it truthfully, except when I'm wanting to spread a prayer request.
Those are many of the same questions I'll be asking too, Mark.
Be safe on your travels. We will miss you!
Love and blessings....
